Record audience for Radcliffe & Maconie
Radcliffe & Maconie, 6 Music’s weekend breakfast show produced by 7digital, scored another record audience in the Q2 2022 RAJAR survey.
As the UK re-adjusts after Covid and many weekend shows are experiencing audience churn, Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie reached 876,000 listeners - a rise of 1,900 quarter-on-quarter.
Of 7digital’s Radio 2 productions, the Folk Show audience has grown by 13% and Pick of the Pops retains 2.45 million listeners. Sounds of the Sixties reaches 1.63 million on air, and is consistently the most popular Radio 2 strand by demand via BBC Sounds.
Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie are a much-loved pairing of music obsessives, quick-witted observers of popular culture and Decorated Radio Professionals. On Saturday and Sunday mornings (0800-1000 GMT, 6 Music) they welcome all comers with an antidote to modern malaise: insightful interviews, occasional nonsense, and the best alternative music from then and now.
7digital produced Mark Radcliffe’s Radio 2 evening show before launching Radcliffe & Maconie in 2007. The award-winning show moved to 6 Music in 2011.
